Services
Seeing abilities -
and building on them
-a carefully crafted work of art-
-a paralyzed man holding his daughter-
-the punctuality of a person in getting to an appointment who a few years ago could not remember a son's birthday-
-a vegetable garden lovingly tended by a woman who last year was homeless and ill.
These are all signs of the abilities of the people we work with every day-
-persons with Developmental Disabilities,
-people living with HIV/AIDS,
-those living with a Traumatic Brain Injury,
-and adults with disabilities who are eligible for nursing home care but who chose and are able, with assistance, to live independently or with a
family member (Nursing Home Diversion and Transition Services)-
and these activities, when successfully completed, give them, and us, hope for even greater achievements.
Catholic Charities Community Services' staff members recognize these abilities and build on them as they develop and carry out individualized programs so that each individual person served can achieve even more.
Services are currently offered in the following counties within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester:
