Employment is essential to enhancing the quality of life. Obtaining financial stability and being able to maintain safe affordable housing are the top reasons why employment is important to the clients we serve. Catholic Charities Community Services provides people living with HIV/ AIDS the support and education they need to return to work or enter the workforce.

Services provided through the HomeSOURCE Housing Retention and Employment Services Program include soft skills education, interview skills training, resume/cover letter development, basic computer and internet skills training, career assessments, job search assistance, one-on-one employment counseling and group workshops to discuss barriers to employment, and budgeting and financial workshops.

Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR)

In collaboration with the New York State Department of Education and the local Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) office, Catholic Charities Community Services is able to provide support to individuals with disabilities. Services include benefits advisement and work readiness training classes in Livingston and Monroe Counties. Our Work Incentive Practitioners are certified through Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
